Gaziantep Chamber of Industry has registered the baklava, which is identified with our city, by registering the baklava both in our country and in the EU, in the brand and patent registration process that it started in 2003, and by getting the registration of baklava in 2005, it proved to the whole world that baklava is Turkey's and Gaziantep's.

As Gaziantep Chamber of Industry, we received the registration of the phrase "Antep baklava" as a geographical indication from the Turkish Patent Institute in 2007. We applied to the EU for registration on 10 July 2009. After the examination of the EU Commission, our application was found positive and the official application document for Antep baklava was published in the EU Official Gazette on 8 August 2013.
