
GSO DELEGATION AT K 2025 FAIR
The latest technologies in the sector were examined on-site at the fair, and global production trends were closely followed.
As part of the clustering project conducted by the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO), the Gaziantep Chemical Plastics Export Team participated in the “K 2025 Düsseldorf Plastics and Rubber Fair,” the world's largest plastics and rubber industry fair, making important contacts to develop international collaborations and expand the export network.
The delegation, consisting of 21 companies and 36 cluster members from Gaziantep, met with leading companies in the sector during the fair, closely examining the latest technological developments, innovative production methods, and global market trends in the plastics and rubber industry. Participants had the opportunity to see the most up-to-date practices worldwide in areas such as the use of renewable materials, recycling technologies, and environmentally friendly production solutions.
During the contacts made, the strong production capacity, quality standards, and innovative structure of the Turkish chemical and plastics sector were introduced, and important steps were taken to increase the competitiveness of Gaziantep companies in international markets. Participating companies established numerous potential business connections during the fair, gaining access to new export channels.

As part of the program, GSO Deputy Secretary General M. Sermest Çapan and company representatives also visited the Cologne Chamber of Commerce and Industry. During the visit, they exchanged views on the business environment in Germany, business establishment processes, joint investment opportunities, and mutual cooperation possibilities.
The delegation concluded their program by visiting the Turkish Consulate General in Düsseldorf, where they met with Consul General Ali İhsan İzbul and Düsseldorf Commercial Attaché Pınar Aslan. The meeting addressed topics such as the commercial activities of Turkish companies in Germany, foreign investment processes, and support for fair and promotional events.
The Gaziantep Chamber of Industry continues to enhance the global competitiveness of the city's industry through its export-oriented projects, clustering initiatives, and international promotional activities. GSO (Gaziantep Chamber of Commerce) continues its work with the goal of making Gaziantep not only Turkey's production hub but also a leading industrial city in world markets.
WHAT IS UR-GE?
The UR-GE Project, implemented by the Ministry of Trade under the "Circular on Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness" within the framework of decision number 5973, supports the clustering and project-oriented export activities of collaborative organizations. UR-GE projects, which receive 75% government support, provide companies with contributions in many areas such as promotion, training, consultancy, international marketing, and purchasing delegation organizations for three years.
