MODEL FACTORY 
GSO DELEGATION CONDUCTS BUSINESS COOPERATION INITIATIVE IN ROMANIA
A business marketing and bilateral business meetings (B2B) program was held in Romania with the support of the Ministry of Trade's UR-GE (Regional Development and Investment) program.
As part of the Gaziantep Footwear and Knitwear Clusters Projects, conducted by the Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO), a business marketing and bilateral business meetings program was organized in Romania.
On the first day of the program, the GSO delegation visited the monument of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Turkey, in Bucharest to commemorate the 29th October Republic Day.
During the visit, meetings were held with various institutions and organizations, primarily the Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Ideas were exchanged on developing commercial relations, increasing cooperation opportunities, and implementing joint projects.
Following the program, Gaziantep firms had the opportunity to establish potential business partnerships, increase their exports, and enhance their competitiveness in international markets through one-on-one meetings with Romanian businesspeople.
GSO Deputy Secretary General M. Sermest Çapan and company representatives also conducted various field visits in Romania, inspecting production facilities on-site. During these visits, experience sharing took place with sector representatives, and significant steps were taken towards developing sectoral collaborations between the two countries.
The overseas organization carried out by GSO and supported by the Ministry of Trade made significant contributions to Gaziantep firms' goals of more effectively participating in global markets and increasing their international competitiveness.
WHAT IS UR-GE?
The UR-GE Project, implemented by the Ministry of Trade within the framework of decision number 5973, supports the clustering and project-oriented export activities of collaborating organizations in line with the "Circular on Supporting the Development of International Competitiveness". UR-GE projects, which receive 75% government support, provide companies with contributions in many areas such as promotion, training, consultancy, overseas marketing, and purchasing delegation organizations for 3 years.

POWER UNION FOR TECHNOLOGY FROM MODEL FACTORY AND GAÜN TARGET TTO
GAÜN academicians will be assigned by Target TTO and will be able to provide training and consultancy services to companies under the coordination of Model Factory.
A cooperation protocol was signed between Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GSO) and Gaziantep University (GAÜN) Target Technology Transfer Office in order to include the academic world in the work carried out by Gaziantep Competence and Digital Transformation Center (Model Factory).
THE OFFICIAL OPENING OF THE MODEL FACTORY WAS HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF MINISTER VARANK
The opening ceremony of Gaziantep Model Factory was held with the participation of Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank and Gaziantep protocol.
A presentation was made to the Minister of Industry and Technology Varank and the provincial protocol, who examined the production lines, technical infrastructure and the work done in the Model Factory, about the services provided by the center to companies and entrepreneurs on entrepreneurship, digitalization and lean production, the trainings and practices given to the companies.
GSO TOBB DELEGATES ATTENDED THE 76TH AND 77TH TOBB GENERAL ASSEMBLY ONLINE
At the opening of the General Assembly held over the video conference system under the chairmanship of TOBB Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the late GSO Assembly Member and TOBB Delegate Mesut İşsever and the members who worked in chambers and exchanges and lost their lives were commemorated with mercy and prayer.
TOBB Delegates from GSO to the General Assembly; Adil Sani Konukoğlu, Adnan Ünverdi, Mustafa Topçuoğlu, Cevdet Akınal, Metin Erturhan, Mustafa Özgüler, Sami Konukoğlu, Metin Yıldırım Demir and Cemil Turgay Direkçi attended.
29 COMPANIES FROM GAZIANTEP ARE IN THE ISO 500 LIST
The results of Turkey's 500 largest industrial enterprises were announced.
Adnan Ünverdi, Chairman of the Board of Gaziantep Chamber of Industry (GCI), said that 29 companies from Gaziantep are on the list, according to the "Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises 2020 Research" announced by the Istanbul Chamber of Industry (ISI).
